I have an 02 monte ls in competition yellow. I am the second owner bought in jan. 06 with 50,000 miles now has 79,000. until this year no problems. march 08 approx. 67,000replaced right front hub thru a bud that is a gm tech. cost $300. still has intrmittent problems with trac control activating at slow speeds and wheel turned sharply. at 70,000 same bud replaced the cursed intake gaskets and also all the lifters. had 2 or 3 ticking like a rod bearing was going out so I got lucky it was just lifters. cost $500. my bud said that would have been about $1400. if I had to go thru gm.06-08 key cyl. locked up and had to get my car towed home. replaced cyl. and passlock $200.just 2 weeks ago my driver seat heat element quit and still trying to save up to fix that. looks like $400. if I go thru gmpartsdirect.com and then to interior shop.I know it sounds like a bad year but I still love my banana. I have been dreaming of a sudden winfall of $$$$$$$ to buy an 07 laser blue SS with low miles but no luck so far.
