Default YellaJAC's taking a Hyatous!

Well, the time has come. $$$ have been tight lately. Still got the TCC code, steady CEL, and the inspection is due by Thursday. She's not gonna make it. So I'm putting Ol Yella in the back yard for a bit, till I can afford to get the trans done!
In the mean time I will be sporting my son's Motorbike. A FZ8 or FZ8 (I can never get that right). He's not using it cause of his job. So I will use it to get back and forth to work until YellaJAC is all better.
I'm sad about this but I would rather let Yella sit safely in the back yard than take the chance of getting fines and or having her Confiscated!

I'll still be here, Not giving up the Monte or MCF! Just keeping my ownership safe. The cops do random vehicle stops by my job at least twice a month in the only road out of town.

JC....

What a bummer...
As we all know you have been a steady eddie doing your level best to keep yellow jack in tip top condition....

Be sure to be darn safe on that motor bike....!!!!!!!!
and really watch out for the other guy/people on the road...
From my experience..its pretty obvious there are people out there that do not look out for people on motor bikes etc!

Hope to see you continue to be on the forum and hanging with your MCF Family!

Thanks Dave (Mr. Stumpmi ) It's not that much of a bummer though. For the last 4 months or so, she has only had 2 codes, the TCC and the 420 for the CAT. The CAT is an easy fix. Just got the plug spaces for the O2. Once I get the TRANS done she will have NO major problems. I've done or had done, everything else done! At that point I will finally got to see How she REALLY performs!

I almost lost use of my left leg 10 years ago do to getting cut off on a bike by a STUPID driver who didn't see me. I healed both mentally and physically but the thought of stupid drivers sits at the front of my mind.

I Well be very careful and I will continue to be active here on MCF! I'm not giving up, I'm just being smart. Putting her away means I Keep her and I don't get any fines for no inspection. $$$ I don't have!

When she's back on the road, you folks here on MCF will be the second ones to know, my Lady being the first!

Sorry to hear about that jc. That does really suck but hopefully money starts to pop up so you can get that thing fixed and back on the road. I am sure soon enough you will be driving it again.

Thanks Zach, it will be OK! I've been without her before, one time for 3 months. But she always comes back better than before! This time, she will be Better, Stronger, Faster! And then, all these little Rice Burners will shutter when YellaJAC goes by!!!

That's sad news. I hope you can get YellaJAC on the road soon. Good things come to those who wait.

So I've gone to a trans shop near me, they were working but closed. But one of the mechanics came an spoke with me. I told him my problem and he took me in and explained what they do with 4T65e with such Hi mileage. 184,000! He showed me a taken apart 4t65e out of an impala and some of the common problems the have. He said, knowing that I am working with time constraints and a limited budget, they can do a used trans for about $1200 or a rebuild on mine for about $1600. My budget insist I look at the $1200 but the $1600 would get me all the upgrades and a 3 year 50,000 mile warranty! At this point it doesn't matter! I'm gonna have to put Yella away for a while anyways, while I put the money together.
In the mean time I will be sporting my sons motorcycle and getting upset cause I'm ready to get one of my own. The important thing is that I will get through all this, YellaJAC will be mechanically prestine and I can start doing the little mods I want to make her Scream, "Here Comes JC!"
