I'll have to try it tonight. I looked at the documentation, and there was no mention of the battery disconnect. Will keep everyone updated.

 

Well in the future, whenever you are working on your car, ESPECIALLY removing the PCM and touching electrical components, always at least disconnect your negative battery terminal while you do the work.

 

The acoustics are AWESOME in here aren't they?!?! See I know so little I have to jump when I see something I know!

Alright! That was the second slow pitch softball statement I made today and finally someone took a swing at it! I'll toss one of those out every now and then so someone can nail me with a reply.

 

I'm probably a little lax, I work with pc stuff everyday and haven't killed anything... yet

 

I'm lax when I work with stuff too, but with my car I try to take every precaution.

There's a difference between frying a motherboard, or shorting something small and then something with the car haha

What are the possible risks of not disconnecting the battery for an hour when installing a CAI?

 

So I left the battery unhooked for an hour last night, and started the car up this morning, started a little hard but once it was up and running, it made much more efficient use of all that air, i seem to have more power on the bottom end now, as opposed to just the top end like i did previously.
