What's up everybody I have a problem and was hoping you guys could help me out I recently purchased a 2000 Monte Carlo ss with a blown motor for 400 bucks the car is now fixed and is running fine but it has some crazy wire job that I'm guessing some back yard mechanic did. There is a wire running from the fuel pump to the the fuse box under the hood that makes the injectors come on so the car start if this wire is not hooked up the injectors will not come on and the car will not start. Any ideas for what might have been the case that caused them to run this wire? Thanks anything thoughts will be greatly appreciated

 

If I had to guess, I say it was an anti-theft thing. Harder to steal a car when you can't start it.
