Hi everyone, I have owned 3 different 2000-2004 Monte Carlo SS's over the years and always noticed that the windshield wiper filler bottle neck seemed to be loosely attached with a rubber gasket to the filler bottle. Seemed like they were all missing the bolt to hold it to the fender. A closer look shows that there was never a bolt there in the first place. But for some reason GM designed the front fender with holes in it to put a U-nut in there. I found a large U-nut and a bolt/washer to fit it perfectly. First I put the U-nut into the large hole and tapped it forward until the threaded hole lined up with the small hole in the fender. Then a gear wrench made putting the bolt with washer in nicely. So the final result is how the factory should have done it but to save a couple of pennies never did! Hopefully this tip will help you finish your engine bay and make the filler neck permanently attached to the fender.

Needless to say, i never found it....
