Default Window vent guards

Greetings group. I drive a 2004 Monte with the 3.4 V6.

Two times I have ordered window vent guards for this car. Once from AVS through Amazon and another company through Ebay.

Each time the vent guards were too long to fit in the window channel.

For those of you who did add after market vent guards, who did you buy from and how do I assure the next time I order window vent guards that they will fit?

Sincerely,

George

George what part # did you have ? I'm looking at getting the AVS ones part # 92613 from Auto Anything.
Also the ones the you did have did you have the front edge tucked in behind the mirror ?

Good Luck, Bob

I'll get part numbers for you. They tuck into the window channel. They span the whole length of the window. And the ones I am returning (2 sets) are too long to shave down to make them fit.

The item # that I mentioned , they go on the door frame, but only cover half of the door frame pillar.
May be someone will chime and have a pic.

These are the AVS window vent guards that were too long to use in the window channel of my 2004 Monte Carlo.

I wasn't aware that they were available with the in channel option, that part # that you showed is the only one that I've ever seen.
Good Luck with your search !

Bob !

I bought mine from WeatherTech a few years ago. The only downside so far is they do tend to pull out just a bit at speed IF you drive with windows cracked open, or maybe the speed was to high. Overall I'm pleased them.
