I tried the one off of my wife's 2004 GTP in my 2006. It would not work without some modifications.
The only way to see is to try. They are really easy to swap!

Ive looked at it, but isnt that performance shift? I dont know if that button will work, but it should fit on. I think theres a tab somewhere you have to press to get it off.

The way the shifted works is there is a metal rod with a plastic button that sticks out the middle of it. It wouldn't work with my 2006 because the grand prix and the monte had different height buttons sticking up.

To remove your shift ****, there should either be a screw in the front of it or a clip that you pry out. After this, the **** will just slide off.

I didn't want to start a new thread so heres a new question:

What do you guys think? I picked it up for $10, it works fine in every gear, the color is just off, i want to paint it, i love the feel of it compared to the stock handle.

Also, is the grand prix **** leather? and if so how should i go about painting it? thanks for all input in advance!
