It will be if the car has the LTZ option with 3.9 under the hood.

 

RJ is exactly correct. If the LT has a 3.9 V6 under the hood then the dual exhaust outlets are exactly the same as an LTZ.

 

I don't mean to argue but this does not appear to be the case. Mine is an LT with the 3.9 and my outlet diameters are 2.25 inches.

 

It will be EXACTLY the same IF it has a 3.9 V6....GM did not make different size mufflers.

 

SolaraSlayer says his LTZ outlets are 2 7/8 inches, my LT 3.9 has 2 1/4 inch openings. I'm not sure if I fully understand what you are saying....

 

Shmedley what I'm saying is GM DID NOT use different mufflers or tips whether it's an LT or LTZ AS LONG AS it has a 3.9 V6. These mufflers & tips are exactly the same for both models with the 3.9. Maybe people are measuring them differently but I can guarantee you they are the same outlet diameter.

 

So what your saying is that SolaraSlayer isn't measuring his outlets properly? I'm not implying that he is, but I know for damn sure that I'm not, so somebody is wrong here...

 

What Cain45 is trying to say is ALL Montes with the 3.9 V6 engine have the same size tail pipes out the back. That Chevy only used one size.

Whether or not someone measured their pipes wrong makes no difference if these tips fit all 3.9 Montes.

One question I have though is are you sure your car in an LT and not a 3LT? I've yet to hear of just an LT model? It either an LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LTZ, or SS.

I have seen 3LT Montes on ebay with the LTZ package which till that point in time I only thought LTZs got the 3.9 engines.

 

When I said my car is an LT with a 3.9 I assumed people would know I meant a 3LT because that is the only model besides the LTZ that has the 3.9 engine, and I actually stated that it is a 3LT in the original post of this thread.I understand what Cain45 is saying, I am just trying to figure outwhy there is a discrepancybetweenSolara's measurements and mine...Iam wondering if he is measuring his outlets with tips already installed?

 

Anything's possible and with some of the translation getting lost because we're talking on the net, it could be quite possible you're both actually saying the same thing?
