Would these exhaust tips fit an 06 LT3, or can anyone recommend a good place to get them?

 

I think you 2 1/2 inside dia. tips.
those are to small
Plus I think the outlets are to big. Might not fit around the extaust opening

 

There are dealer installed exhaust tips you can buy but they're like $60 each.

I have seen posted that if you buy the dealer tips and have them installed at the dealer these tips are covered by the car's warranty.

I happen to like the exhaust tips myself on the '06/07 Montes and plan of getting them.

 

RJ is exactly correct I have them for my 06 LTZ and they are covered under the normal warranty. Got mine for dirt, but that's because the parts manager & I are good friends.

 

Man I'll tell ya. I've been friends with a guy in parts department at the local Chevy dealer for 20 years. I doubt he'd give me any kind of price break on parts.

 

I bought my sill plates, 17 forged polished accessory wheels & center caps, and exhaust tips all from him. He's awesome and beats anyone elses prices!!

 

Since I'm talking my '06 Monte in tomorrow to let them look it over (for the dead battery thing) I thought I'd call to see about having them install exhaust tips on my car?

The guy I know at the parts department said the tips will be $75.... EACH!

That GMPartsDirect web site only charges something like $55-60 for the tips.

The dealer also wanted $30 to install the tips. So I'd be in them for $180 just for the exhaust tips.

Any chance your friend can get them cheaper then $75 each?

PS. I found the sill plate covers ebay for $80 shipped to me.

 

Mrrench is correct, they are too small.

 

How do you guys figure they are too small? I measured my tail pipe, it is 2.25 inches in diameter.

also, can someone tell me the "out" diameter of the gm exhaust tips?

 

Sorry, my LTZ is 2 7/8 inches, I thought the LT3 was similar.
