I bought mine because I was killing time on a sunday checkin out cars on local car lots. Around here, the car lots close on sundays. So a lot of people check out the cars without the pressure of sales people hovering over your shoulder.

I saw two Dale Jr editions on the lot of a Chevy dealership. One with the stripes, one without. Looked at the one with all the stripes and decals, and thought it looked cool as hell.

I wasn't in a position to buy until a year later. Fortunately, it was still there waiting for me. I'll call it fate. Didn't even know it was a limited edition thing until after I bought it and came to this site. Space, researcher extraordinaire and all around great dude, told me about it's true identity. The Space dude rocks!

Wish I had traded in my money pit of a Grand Am when I first saw the Dale Jr edition. The Monte is a much cooler and more reliable car. Plus the supercharger sealed the deal.

 

i bought this thing cus it was a deal. plastered with rock chips all up front (hence the paint job) and it being a relatiely high mileage car (for the year) it was a deal i couldnt pass up. it was SSexy, sounded good, and when i test drove it i got whistled at. sooooooooooooooo sold!!!!
