Went looking for a new car because my cavalier was getting up there in miles (112k).
I am VERY picky about my cars. and i came across a monte carlo online and, YES! HAD to have one. so, looked and looked and found a beautiful red 02SS, test drove it, and bought it!
So for me it was the Looks that caught my eye. i love how nothing else looks like them. They are unique! awesome lines on them. And now i have my 06SS. I will always love the monte carlo, its one amazing car.

I don't actually remember them..But, I heard stories of the 3 or 4 different Monte's that my mother and father owned throughout the years. They were always my mom's favorite, and therefore, I developed a love for them.
In 2003 We moved to WV and the room I stayed in was directly across the street from a brand new white 6th gen. I would dream about that thing all day long.
My mom bought a white 02 ls a few years back, and I drove it for a bit. I didn't actually like it much. It really kinda turned me off on the Monte's. She ended up selling that to my brother-in-law.
Then, last year, I bought a 2002 Honda Civic. I HATED IT! There was no power. No room, despite being a 4-door. The only good thing was my mpg. I was on my way to work one morning, and spotted that Knight's Crest peeking out at me from a local dealership...So, I swung in, and fell in love.
The SS had everything I wanted. The looks! The curves! The power! The ride was AMAZING compared to the civic. So, I quickly took a $2000 loss on the civic, and put a down payment on the monte!
In conclusion, I would have to say that my heart is why I chose the Monte. She seduced me..And, I couldn't be happier!

When nascar came out with the new monte carlo ss in 1983 i said to myself, i have to have car. So in 84 i pick up a use 83 ss. After getting a new job in 85 i traded in the 83 for a new 1986 ss with t-tops. I this love the lines on the monte, when i would go for a drive people would tell me what a nice car. And there"s no other car on the road that looks like it. When my wife and i had our first child i sold the monte in 97 for a dam van. 9 long years later i traded in the van for a new 2006 black fully loaded monte carlo 3lt. Again there is no other car on the road like it.
