Yes I can - you need a front plate in IL, but I am going to chance it. I was driving around with my 2000 GTP without a front plate and I never had a front plate on my 03 Monte and never got pulled over.

Amy I actually have no space to mount the plate nor care to. I have a city cop living next door and a deputy sherriff two houses down who have both told me to simply attach it (via rubber bands) to the passenger visior and drop it forward when a crusier is present.

Well, I got the plate filler today and put it on. It does have a small crack at the top though. IDK, I am going to find out how much the repair shop will charge me to paint the other one I have when I bring the car back to the shop this spring to get the door seam rust addressed.

No the crack wasn't mentioned in the ad, so I don't know if it happened during shipping or what. It wasn't packed real well.
I know I need to take pics. I was finally able to wash the car today but the sun hasn't shown in almost a week and I don't like taking pics when it's so grey out. I'll try and take pics next Saturday because my 05 is going to be a test mule at a detailing seminar put on by the owner of the Black Dog car shows - he owns a detail shop too.

With a little epoxy, and some filler the crack can disappear. The epoxy will strenghten the crack from coming back. The filler will do the rest as far as making the damage disappear. A little elbow grease and you won't even be able to tell there ever was a crack.
PS. Where's the pics Amy? lol
