Even though my 87 LS is mostly stock..305 4bbl quad/headers..straight thru duals i still run 93 octane, valves seem to clatter going uphill when i ran 87...But wow 4.35 gallon up in my neck of the woods...Who else runs 93...Im gonna have to put 250.00 away for gas to go to the nationals...

 

I run 93 octane in my 2005 monte ss 3.8 supercharged ,2005 impala ss 3.8 supercharged,1969 corvette 350 4bbl 4speed,1940 chevy 350 4bbl auto ..thats the price you have to pay to play...

 

My tune is set for 93 as well. It's a pain, but I don't mind, it's for the Monte!!!

an extra .20 per gallon, every 5 gallons is only 1 more dollar. My usual fill up is only ~10 gallons, so it's just an extra 2 bucks. The OVERALL price of gas sucks. I don't mind the little extra for my tune.

Yup this is true!! Whatta you guys paying for hightest??Im finding im just not driving as far as i used too...I run 93 in my 08 gt/cs..just installed 4:10 gears from 3:31s believe it or not w/overdrive i didnt lose much mpg, but man does she move now!!!

 

I use high test 93 OCTANE in the Monte and i pay $4.02 compared to regular at $3.82 in Oregon but i don't drive the car a ton any more just on weekend and to car shows. I am saving allot of miles and gas because i work from home now.

 

I run 93 in EVERYTHING. I just cant see not running it. its not that much more for a tank and it runs better, cleaner and gets more mpg.
