More updates:

Gas tank is in! The aftermarket replacement tank is most certainly different than stock. I ended up having to space down the front mount points 3/4" for it to bolt up. Had to install it 4 times before I finally got it to work... super frustrating!

Still need to make a cover panel for inside the trunk over the pump access hole. I did stick through stainless bolts held in by retainers so I can easily bolt the cover on.

Also started running the IC lines. Got everything hooked up from the front back to the rear of the cradle. Still need to work out a way to secure them to the back across the center section of the car. I did get the reservoir mounted in the trunk though.

I fit up the intake tract as well, and it looks like it's going to fit fine. It really is a massive pain though getting 4" silicone hose over the 102mm TB lip, so I'm going to see if I can find some 4.25" to 4" hose.

I'm taking off a few days next week to make a 5 day weekend next weekend to crank on this some more.

Here's the list of what is yet to go:

-Buy and plumb fuel filters
-Run remainder of fuel lines
-Wire up fuel pumps (waiting on parts)
-Install IC pump under trunk
-Finish running IC lines
-Install FPR (still trying to find a good location for this)
-Install 99+ alternator setup
-Install belts
-Install coolant overflow tank
-Install T-stat/housing and fill cooling system
-Install catch cans
-Modify TB adapter to mount bypass valve (hardest part left)
-Cut and weld up bypass valve tube out of aluminum tubing
-Modify TB to accept sensors, install
-Make a TB cable bracket
-Replace TB cable (fraying)
-Install intake tract
-Finish installing wiring
-Add wiring for water pump, IC, new fans, cutout
-Install cutout, fake cat, and resonator
-Reinstall exhaust
-Replace front wheel studs (1 broke, I have ARP replacements)
-Change trans fluid/filter / replace leaking pan gasket
-Rebuild passenger side axle (inner tripot is cracked)
-Remove center console and rebuild sheet metal cover over firewall hole. Ensure proper clearance exists
-Paint and install passenger side dogbone, STB, and cross braces
-Route vacuum line setup / mount MAP
-Get a few fuel cans of E85
-Initial Start / Tuning
-Strap the GoPro on and go do some burnouts

Just ordered another $600 in parts that will be here Wednesday morning:
-3" cutout exhaust flange
-More fuel line and fittings
-AN prebuilt lines for feed and return under the hood
-Aeromotive fuel pump controller:

Parts, but not all. I painted everything from the rad support forward. I'm not real happy with it though- I painted all the lower stuff first- and then when I did my welding and grinding on the upper rad support, I got small weld burns, and hot grinding dust all over everything else.

Oh well, underneath the radiator was rusty, so at least I fixed that, even if it doesn't look beautiful.

When I painted the upper rad support, I did hit the headlight mounts again so at least they looked decent since they are right on top.

I also did the battery tray. For a long time it's been covered in rust. I ground down the easy stuff, and covered it in rust converter. It looks like crap because it isn't smooth- but again, at least the rust problem is fixed. The real fix would be to cut the tray out, but that's too much work when I've got so much ahead of me just to get the car back on the road again.

The strut towers and firewall still look like crap, but there isn't much I can do at this point. There is too much in the way to give them a decent paint job. I could probably hit most of the passenger side- but with the ABS and such on the drivers side,it's going to look dumb.

I hear ya 100% on the trunk cutout lol
I think it was totally worth the time and effort- especially if one of these pumps craps out. I hate working underneath the car without it being on a lift...

It's one of those things that I hope I never have to use

Nice work man, I love your car and can't wait to see her rolling again. I've been lucky when it comes to rust, I have literally no rust on this car. Yet. lol

I know the feeling with the fuel pump "hatch" though, I cut out mine last time I dropped the tank. Hopefully I'll never have to use it either, but we'll see what happens.

All in all, it's good to see an update from you man.

Your build has come a long way. It's going to be a real contender when you finish her. Everyting looks well thought out and your car has great curb appeal. Extra nice show boating supercharger set up! Very very nice!!

Flexible AN line for the feeds and return under the hood (ended up scrapping the idea of fuel injection hose), more hard line, and the Aeromotive pump controller.

99+ style alternator setup, HD GP axles (my drivers side inner is a cheap napa replacement currently, and the passenger side inner is broken from hitting the cradle back when I first did the swap. With these, I'll be able to make up fresh axles (boot kit coming tomorrow via Napa).

Also got S/C oil from the dealer. Seems that they've changed bottles/labels.

This is awesome! I'm not on the page often anymore, but I'm glad I stopped by and saw some updates. I'll be back for sure!
