People say they like my '86 LS but I know they're just being nice to me. They all probably think "Gee, couldn't he find a nice SS so he bought that one?"





A kid about 12 maybe 13 told me he liked my '57 Wagon today. He said his dad loves Chevies so he knew his dad would like the Wagon.

 

when she drove our 99 to the post office after we got it done last year. She was getting out of the car when a guy pulled in next to her in a newer Monte, he got out and ranted and raved to her for 5 minutes about how nice it looked.

My proudest moments when we drive the 06 SS are when people in other cars or riding bikes check us out. I'm talking people driving Vette's, Rustangs, other Montes, and even a sheriff's deputy who was getting gas next to me. I don't think many people realize just what kind of car it is, and that's why they check it out.

 

my proudest moment was a few months ago...i was out with my girlfriend at the movies and a few friends (5 total people in my car), and on our way home, we come to a stop sign, and one of her guy friends pulls up behind me with her uhh...disliked...ex boyfriend in the passenger seat...their driving a early '90's cadillac deville 2 door, and as soon as i saw him in my rearview mirror i could tell that he was talking crap on me and my car and i knew it was on. i get up to about 70 and he's right on my bumper the whole time. He tries to pass me and i dig down a little and keep him next to me, door to door for a while, then i punch it and i lose him by about 2 car lenghts to up until about 95, then he gave up so i slowed.

we get back to her house and he follows us there and he gets out and starts saying "what the **** do you have in there! thats a 4.9 liter port fuel injected V8!! (blah blah blah) why the heck did couldnt i pass you?!!?!"

i was sooo proud of my monte, especially with 5 people in the car! and the boyfriend was silent

 

Continual proud moment is when mustangs and vettes pull up beside me at a light and rev their motor. Jeff Gordon races so they think his car does.

The other day at the dealership trying to get a appointment for the performance diag, i waited for 45min to get to talk to the service guy and afterward i come out to people looking over the car and the sales man explaining that the car was not owned by the dealership. A$$ was saying to bad the roof needed fixing (my trim piece is coming off and no garage to keep it dry to fix it atm). I left without saying a word and letting my youth make him envious.

I parked at the end of the Vettes, in view of the main street so what i wanted to show it off. especially after spending 2 hours detailing it saturday.

I had another moment two days ago. I got pulled over (that's not the good part) and the first thing the cop told me when he came to my window was "That's a really nice red car you have." After a minute or two of small talk he let me go (thankfully!) and made sure to compliment my car again!

 

Getting my car stared down by the kid hanging his head out his moms SUV in the next lane. Ever try no to laugh when ur being watched?? Its hard. And 2nd proudest is when i go past a nice eclipse 70 ish in a 65, and they speed up with me haha.

 

My proudest moment was winning July's MOTM.

 

proudest moment for me is getting my new lt and starting it up. my sadest is when some one stolle the 17 inch rims. a little po but getting new ones in the future is going to be a plus. right now have steelys on it and the second proudest moment is out running two ricers in a v6 7th gen. they had turbo i am na v6 i really love that day. they were saying i must have been spraying but i dont have any for the car only for the track car that i have. the third proudest day is every time i wash it and also go to the car shows every first saturday here

 

New Proud moment, me and my friends were leaving Buffalo Wild Wings in our town, get in view of my car and there is 4-5 people around my car. They were taking pictures of my car, they started asking questions about it and all kinds of info about it.

My friend let me part it in his garage just in case they try to find where I live and if they were casing it to steal it. Learned taht lesson from this forum

 

Only had my Monte for a month now, but proudest moment was @ the Midwest meet in Elgin last week, where a bunch of other Monte owners were very impressed with the color and how clean the car is. Thanks, Guys/Girls!
