Default What Year?

Hey there MCFF!
This was my grandparents MC. I remember LOVING it but was too young to remember any of the specifics. I’m having trouble identifying the year and color based on what shows in the image. I can’t seem to narrow down a year that looks like it and offered this color. Any assistance would be fantastic!

We would probably need more pictures to say for sure BUT... If you start searching for various years of Monte Carlo ( from the 80s), youll notice you dont start seeing those wheels until you get to about 1986.

I also had a 1986 Cutlass that had those same wheels and same tailpipe. Maybe that can help a little.

EDIT: Do you remember if the front grill was pointed or flat across?

I found a picture of one that could be the same color?

1g1gz37z8gr124543 Is the VIN for that one. I tried searching but couldnt find a paint code.

EDIT AGAIN: I think its called "Light Blue Metallic" Number 22

Of course, this is only if my 1986 guess is correct..

I distinctly remember the dash had wood grain inserts and had the scroll Monte Carlo on the passenger side. I’m pretty sure it had the aero front end. My grandpa spared no expense when it came to his cars….I wouldn’t have put him to customize anything he didn’t like. Even at his age!

The front you describe is for an SS. Another thing that could help ID a MC is the Hood ornament.

Default Found it!

Turns out it’s an 81! I was off on some of my memories but…then again, I was only 11! Man, I’d love to get my hands on one of these!!!

Thanks for your input!
