Okay so im new to monte carlo i just bought mine and im so happy. I bought a 2004 monte carlo ss supercharger dale jr edition with 49k on it. I was woundering if i could beat my cousin who always bragss 302 1986 mustang thats stock. I have k&n air filter and magflow exhaust. Thanks

I know nothing about fords but if it helps any. My friends Monte (supercharged) killed my 305 TPI V8 Camaro Iroc z 1986 in a race, both cars were stock.

 

And does the mustang have any mods?

 

It be close but monte might win old fox body stangs only had 200hp stock but tgere light

 

All I can say is run and see what happens !

 

my Camaro only had 180HP but it was a beast to drive lol

First, welcome to the forum.

As the owner of a Dale Jr edtion also, I can tell you that these cars are a completely stock supercharged 2004 Monte Carlo. The Dale Jr package does NOT have any performance adding options. It's an appearance package only. A nice one though.

I think you should give it a try and find out. It's more fun that way. Many times the winner is determined by how good the driver is, and not how fast the car is. I beat a fox body Mustang in my 1991 Z24 a couple times (many years ago) because the driver was an inexperienced loud mouth driving daddy's car.

Edit: Keep in mind... Your Monte is heavier than that Mustang. That affects performance.

from someone whose dad has owned two foxbodys an 85 lx w/5.0 and a 88 GT with the 5.0 both stock he had the 88 when i was little. damn loud and damn fast it'll rape your car buddy and any stock GTI on the road too
