Hey, Monte-People!

I made it through the Heat Wave without taking care of the dead Air Conditioner Condencer.
My C-E-L is ON.
Code: P0137 O-2 Sensor - Bank 1 (Which side is bank-1?)
How long can I go on a bad Sensor?

My main problem is being in too much pain to pull the Consenser and stuggle to find where the darn 0-2 Sensor's located.

Now, on to the 64-thousand dollar question.
My Tranny!
I don't really beat on my car at all. Every once in awhile I'll be at a light all-alone and do a hole-shot for less than a quarter mile.
The Tranny Fluid is Clean and New.
I don't know if the PO changed it. I did at 82000. I got 90000 showing.

Here's it comes.
I can "Feel" my Monte shift.
When I back-out of the driveway and stop. When I pull it into Drive it sometimes "Bumps" into Drive.
As I drive along. Leisurely, following traffic. When the Tranny shifts; I feel it shift.
Other than feeling the shifts, there's no hassles. She pulls strong. Never slips and other that the harsh shifts ... no unusual noises.

One guy at the Hot Rod Show said something I didn't understand about a Solenoid that might need to be replaced.

What the Forums BEST minds recommend?

Stock. No Mods. Cat-back replaces with OEM Resonator & Muffler.

Essentially the same as P0136, P0137 refers to the second oxygen sensor on Bank 1. P0137 means the O2 oxygen sensor's voltage remained low for longer than 2 minutes. This, is interpreted by the ECM as a low voltage condition and sets the MIL. Bank 1 Sensor 2 is located to the rear of the catalytic converter and should produce an output signal relative to oxygen storage capacity of the catalytic converter. This rear (sensor 2) sensor is less active than the signal produced by the front sensor. However, if the ECM senses the sensor is inactive, this code will set.
Symptoms

There may be no visible symptoms to the driver, other than the MIL (Check Engine / Service Engine Soon) illumination.
Causes


A code P0137 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

• Faulty o2 sensor Exhaust leak near the rear sensor
• Plugged catalyst
• Short to voltage on O2 signal circuit
• High resistance or open on O2 signal circuit

Possible Solutions

• <Replace faulty sensor
• Repair exhaust leak near the rear sensor
• Check for restriction in catalyst and replace as necessary
• Repair short, open, or high resistance on o2 signal circuit
