Yeah, as far as I know, the LT3 is standard with the 3.9, the next level up LTZ came with the 3.9 and all the other bells, whistles and goodies.

My LT3 came with sunroof, heated beige leather seats. Everything I wanted that wasn't in my 02 LS which also has an all black interior.

About 17K. It had 16K miles on it. I love the Beige interior. Everything is soo bright inside. From the outside looking in on a clear sunny daythe leather looks almost white which is nice.

I really got tired of my LS black interior. Other ppl like it but it gets very boring inside sometimes.

Gabe, you're correct as far as I can tell. You sure did do your homework! The reason the LT3 with a sunroof wasn't common because lots of the Montes with the LT3's went to rental companies. GM likes to sell a lot of vehicles with new engines to Rental companies, so they get a good run-through, and catch any common problems before the general public really runs into them.

Of course, the cars that went to rental companies wouldn't have a sunroof, or some of the really expensive options (like leather, 6 disks, or XM)

One thing I really liked about the 3LT is the option for the brushed Aluminium Trim.... I think that looks really sweet, especially on a silver car like mine.

3LT's with lots of options were probably a GM employeescar, or one that was actually ordered by a customer. There's enough of em out there, unfortunately they're still in the owners hands... I mean, who would get rid of this awesome car, right? Only reason I could see getting rid of it is if all the sudden you had the money to get something like the SS!

I fully agree!! I have started a little moddingin that directionon my Silver '05 LT to tone down some of the black inside the car.

The LTZ
also comes with

Heated outside mirrors
Body trim under the doors to match the front and rear ground effects

The only opitions for the LTZ are

1. Sun Roof
2. Side air bags
3. 6 cd changer

Everything else is standard on the LTZ.

This is why I got an LTZ instead of the SS

Everything that I have on my LTZ would have been over 4 grand more if I got the SS

LTZ also has inside rearview auto dimming mirror...and in my original post I meant to say only LT3 and LTZ get the flipped up rear NASCAR spoiler.
