Default What else am I missing?

I'm planning doing a major tune up on the monte, it just hit 200k and all theses years of ownership the car never required any repairs of any kind, I'm now going to do what is call preventative maintenance
What I know ill need and currently have

4 SKF front and rear hubs*
8 AC Delco iriduims
MSD 8mm spark plug wires
Bosch water pump*
Water pump studs*
Coolant temp sensor*
Dexcool coolant*
Gator something belt*
4 blisten shocks/struts*
PVC valve
Mobile 1 oil & filter
Radiator hoses *
Outer and inner tie rod ends*
Ball joints*
Sway bar links *
Thermostat *
Willowwood brakes & rotors
Fuel filter*
Everything with a star is original for 10 years ago (since was was new)
A few missing and broken pieces getting replaced as well in the interior

Motor internals and transmission were rebuilt 44k miles ago

Now I know I'm missing some stuff, I want this car to ride like new again and the current spending limit is endless at the moment, if I wait longer the wife might start putting up some restrictions and a spending limit.

8 AC Delco iriduims ????
Why do you need 8 ?
Did you install a V8 ? Or do you need 2 for spares..LOL

If your pullin' rad hoses get some gear clamps to replace the spring loaded OE ones.

jeez that is quite an overhaul! well if the water pump and hoses are getting replaced anyways, may as well take our that radiator and pressure wash the coolant gunk which has surely formed inside by 200k!

If you are replacing you PVC valve, I suggest replacing your MAP sensor as well. After all, you have to remove it to get to the PVC anyway.
And 8 spark plugs is 2 too many for your 6 cylinder motor.
Are your struts complete with springs and upper mounts? You are doing So much to your Monte, all those new suspension parts and then your going to use 200,000 mile old springs and upper strut mounts?
I would Also replace all the vacuum hoses. If they have been in the car since new, and they are not showing signs of dry rot, they will. Why wait till then?
You're doing pads and rotors, consider rebuilding your calipers as Well.

See the thread below. Sure, it's written for 100,000 miles, but equally applicable at 200,000 miles:

Well im not pressure washing it but im doing an old trick my dad thought me from his days, it does involve compressed air and a very skinny hose to say the least

Im not replacing any sensors unless my car throws a code for it, if its electrical not mechanical, mileage and age does them them no harm. I am changing all the fluids in the car minus the trans fluid, some vacuum hoses i replaced as needed (it is a chevy after all) its too much work inspecting and replacing these little guys, ill avoid them for now until further issues occur. The shocks/ struts are complete with springs actually but thanks for reminding me i do need the mounts

I didnt forget it, i just lost it the day i realized i was already married......

I also am changing both motor and the transmission mounts
Installing a rear swaybar since my car didnt have that option.
And going for an alignment once everything is said and done.

Ps. I ment 6, i mistyped it even though i wish it was a V8, but ill skip on the fwd so theres no winning there after all

That is not correct. Some electical parts are not prone to wearing out due to mileage, but others do. Such as spark plugs OR O2 sensors. These cars use a heated O2 and the heating element ages. It is good to change at LEAST the upstream O2 once in a while as it does control fueling.

Are you certain about that? I was pretty sure that the rear sway was standard on these cars. Maybe someone removed it??? Or are you talking a strut tower brace?

Its true about the oxygen sensors and I'm surprised these are changed more regularly for maintenance. Those oxygen sensor will affect fuel economy more than plugs and don't necessarily throw a code. That's the funny thing about oxygen sensors - they are more likely to throw a code when something else (other than the oxygen sensor) is malifunctioning
