Default what is a downpipe!?

and can i put one on my 07 ss for more sound? point me in right direction here. i already deleted thr res. and put magnaflow muffs on. but i want more noise. ty guys

look at a hogan downpipe. that is the only one i know of for our cars

it bolts to the rear exhaust manifold and is the exhaust part that goes down to just in front of the resonator

a downpipe will give you more noise, but just a little, especially with a highflo cat.

You really have two options, going with or without Cats. In most states, its illegal to not have them on your car but depending on your engine size, can make a great gain of HP and will make the vehicle sound MUCH louder.

Many shops won't install a Off Road mid-pipe (or down pipe) for cars because of a $10,000+ fine they could be charged if they ever got caught.


Just food for thought.
