Yep side air bags and it was an option.

 

i think its the side air bag

 

Again, side air bag. My grandma's 02 SS has one. Mom's 03 SS/HS don't.

 

One more question... I thought the LTZ had every option except the 5.3 litre?

first thing on the list, it was an option for $350 at the factory. so it didnt come with every option but it came with quite a bit, and that must have been one that wasnt standard.
