Thanks guys I'm fine luckily I didn't get hurt otherwise I woulda been more mad at this lady. No the airbags didn't go off I don't know why. The firefighters and cops said they shoulda went off :p the cars totaled I'm guessing . The impact broke both engine mounts pushed one of the stabilizer bars upwards, broken my brand new rad and pushed some of the engine back. The dash inside the car is still perfect. So lucky to have been in a safe car I'm gonna miss this one I was almost about to cry at the scene after all the work I put Ito this myself. From new upper and lower intake gaskets to 4 calipers to new rad to new wheel bearing to new trans cooler lines to new windshield and the list goes on. The tow truck driver was a fan of montes as well haha. He felt so bad for me after I told him everything . But I'm guessing she's done , I'm gonna have to go get some stuff out of the car as the firefighters cut my battery cables and I couldn't get into the trunk

It's a shame your car was totaled, but thank your lucky stars that you or anyone else was not seriously injured or killed. As big of an attachment you may have to the car it can be replaced.

Hey Guys! So little Update from me. So after the accident i got a rental car and waited while the insurance made a quote for the car. I was very lucky to have the insurance pay so much for the car (4150$)! After that they told me i had to give the rental car back at the end of the week so i was frantically searching for a car. I ended up picking up a 2004 Civic Si coupe 5 speed. I Loved it.... for awhile, but i just dont have that same feeling when im driving it that i did with the Monte. So right now im trying to source out a Monte with the highsport package and potentially trading my Civic for it. What sucks is that there is none where im at haha !

Thanks Lorenzo for the update...
I really like the 04 Honda Si > I think they are a Blast to drive.
They are hard to find here in Florida & are a rare `ride.
There's also a ton of performance parts...They scream 4 what they are 4-Sure...Space had a 95 Black Honda Del Sol VTEC & he did headers, a garret 'turbo + + + + & it was a wild ride & fun 2 drive..

Wish you super luck on finding what you want > I'd be happy with a Si 'if it's in decent shape/condition...It's just great that you are still here to be able to decide > Be Safe out there 4-Sure...Keep us updated 'OK

Is the below like the one that you have ?

Thanks for the update Lorenzo. I wondered recently how things panned out for you. Your issue has been one of a small handful of bad issues this year for Monte owners.

As for the insurance company pulling the rental, I had the same thing happen to me about 10+ years ago. It really irritated me. In that situation, I was dealing with the insurance company shorting me on the value of my car, trouble finding a comparable vehicle and a host of other issues. Very annoying. Declared a total on a Wednesday and I needed to return the rental I believe on Friday. Seriously? Iwas looking for a new car since some idiot rear-ended it the previous Saturday.

I wish you all the luck finding a car that makes you happy again. Regardless if you ultimately end up with a Monte or not. It just sucks that you got backed into a corner having to "buy now" so you can move on with your life.

Hey Lorenzo, glad you made it through everything ok. It suck when you see something you love hurt by someone else's actions.

Where about's did the accident happen? I was born in Milton and have family all over the place down there so I know the area rather well and use to visit there fairly often just not as much as I used to now as work and life always gets in the way lol. I used to go an play pool at the "hard ball" at least that's what I think it was called, just north of the 401 before the side road heading up to campbellville and the race track.
