RE: Welcome me!
Ya.. There are no flames and no decal behind the window. Believe the original owners didnt want it or somethin.. Got everything else though.
Im not really worried about it tho... Jeff Gordon or not im just happy to have a Monte Carlo.. But the dash has the #24 in it.. headrests also... dunno

RE: Welcome me!
Something definitely different about your car. It's either been repainted, or (I hate to say it but here goes) it's not a real JG edition.
I've seen another Jeff Gordon edition on the NMCOA site, and got some info about that one. He told me that he bought his brand new from the dealer in 03 and that the 2003 Jeff Gordon editions are numbered out of 2424 total JG editions. You'll only see this number on the certificate of authenticity, or if you run the VIN number through GM's database.
These are the characteristics that the JG editions came with (as told to me by the owner):
- "24" on the front licence plate delete.
- Flame decals on the hood.
- "24" on the rear pillar behind the rear window.
- "24" printed directly onto the face of the speedometer.
- "24" stitched into the front headrests.
- Hendrick Motorsports logo on the silver ground effects on both sides below the doors.
- Yellow lettered "Goodyear Eagle #1 NASCAR" tires.
There should also be a sticker on the jamb of the driver's door from GM, with a legal notice stating something like all logos are property of NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports and are used with permission.
I forgot to ask him, but I believe the door sill plates should have "24" on them also. And the car may have come with carpeted, custom Jeff Gordon floor mats from the factory as well.
Here's a couple pics from the NMCOA site. Please notice the design of the "24" on the front licence plate delete.

RE: Welcome me!
Obviously the original owner wanted the "stealth" look and had all the exterior labels peeled off.
Your car looks awesome the way it is. But if you care about putting the labels back on, a dealership is about the only place you'll find 'em. And they can be expensive, especially the ghost flames on the hood.
To give you an idea, a dealership here wants $500 for the D.E.I. "E" graphics (both sides) for my car.
Something to consider.
Congrats on your rare find!

RE: Welcome me!
Nice pics!
I finally saw a JG edition around town yesterday with all the graphics intact.
I don't know about the ghost flames, since the "hot rod style" flames are not really my style (I prefer the real flame style), but I'd definitely get the "24" badges put on the rear pillar and the Hendricks Motorsports badges put on the ground effects.
But that's just me.

RE: Welcome me!
Nice pics! Ya I think you have a real JG Edition. As I recall you couldn't get an 03 in that color combination from the factory - I know I tried, I tried for yellow and silver first and then blue and silver. I didn't want a black car and white and silver didn't look good...so I ended up with an 03 red monte.

RE: Welcome me!
Yeah... White with silver ground effects reminds me of '88 to '90 Cavaler Z24's.
Used to see tons of 'em around town back in the day.
