Us Monte carlo owners are rebels
crap i want to add stuff to my original post ... i just keep thinking of the game Redneck Life!
Iam 57 and a grandpa. My Monte has been in two magizine issues, I've run her on MIS race track. My grand kids think I am a car nut and love me for that I think I am a rebel. My Monte states how I feel and who I am. I am comfortable with that.

Agreed! "Assembled" here doesn't count. It has to be an American car company to begin with to be "American". For example, the Toyota Tundra pickup (made on the south side of San Antonio, TX) is still Japanese because because it carries a "Japanese" nameplate and is from a "Japanese" car company. On the other hand, a Canadian built Monte Carlo (all 6th Gens and I think the 7th Gens) seems more "American" to me than that Toyota pickup because it was built by an "American" car company.
