also looking for anyone who knows of an internet site that has a good amount of fiber glass hood scoop inserts. i am going to cut one into my hood instead of buying a 700 hundred dollar hood
summit racing .com

they have several diffrent styles. the ones you see on the cowl hoods are nothing more then a camaro hood scoop I wish i was state side i would love to get a monte hood and a camaro hood and take the scoop off of it and glass it in the monte hod but i would not cut the hood i have now .

As far as the compuer gose i just would liek to see pic's of yours or anyones so i can get a better idea of how it all is suposed to go in there.
I plan to make one but my car gose to shows and i want it to look custum and still protect.

so i purchased the rsm lightweight crankshaft pulley but they said i shouldnt put it in cuz it would shorten the engine life, somethin to do with balancer or somethin, they took the balancer thingy from the stock pulley but said i had to get it pressed to the rsm one, whats up with that? is that true? im so lost, please help.

i dont see how it can tear things up, I have never heard of it happening from a light weight pulley, But it will cause your car to rev faster and may make you ge tit reflashed in the computer to show this on the tacha nd to keep it more acrate. Im not sure on the 3.4 as i have the 3.8. but i do know a few guys here with Cavaliers that ran in to this and also the SRT-4, it was a simpel thing to fix.

most of them are apress on press off. if this is the case then yes you have to have the org. and the new one to take in to have this done unles syou have the press and the know how.
But any machine shop can do it for you or even your local gas station mechanic might even beabel to help you if they have the right tools and the know how. . should not cost ya more then a few bucks. Good luck!!

if you lose the balencer when using the pulley i think bearing wear would accelerate.
but if can be tranfered, it doesnt make sense to me why it would cause a problem.

ok guys heres the deal, first thanks to all you guys that helped out with your knowledge of the monte, after being online tryin to find the answer for about three hours, i ran across the article that nailed the question, i just wish i remembered where it was. turns out the stock pulley has this balancer sensor ring behind it, and what has to happen it that it has to be transfered to the rsm one for it to properly work, but i know i remember reading there was a difference between to 3400 and 3800, so to all the big brother montes out there DO YOUR RESEARCH if you are unsure like i was, i should be puttin it in soon, prolly later this week, i will be sure to post results, im supposed to get a boost in acceleration and low end torque so lets see how this turns out, not to mention some guy at work with an 05 V6 rustang has challenged me and i gladly accepted, not to mention i smoked him by a car already so yeah, this time ima be 20 bucks richer, i told him id buy him the turbonator to help him out..... oh man that mustang is a joke.
