Pretty much everything always can be resolved with an L67 swap. And then building it...

I like the Cavalier 1984SuperSport, but I vote against the rally wheels. I like the aluminum ones your have on it now more. I always thought they where kinda cool wheels - those Cav square ones you got. They're a classic

yea me to but they r destroyed...alot worse in person then in pics...the clear coat is non existent anymore and the aluminum is just soooo oxidized i dont think i can bring them back

everyone seems to dislike the rallies for sum reason..i love em...same rallies used on camaros and S10s and MONTE CARLOS.....just these r a FWD bolt partern and back spacing...same design tho

i DONT intend them to b permant....but im gona run them till i find sumthing better...and hell u cant beat $40 for a set of rims in GREAT shape..

they r off a wreck 90 Cavy RS with 82,000 miles.....lol...car was nailed in the pass side...freaking passenger seat had to b in the drivers lap...its a bad wreck

and i hate calling it a cavalier.....cuz cavaliers are seen as cheap reliable econo cars...not sports cars...not muscle cars....not even fast cars..

but hell..u get in mine and its more like a camaro.....the styling of the 88-90 Z24 is teh same as a 88-90 RS/Z28 Camaro, its nasty sounding...fast for a v6. and handles like a dream....

i refer to it as the Z24, cuz iv had it for a year....and u truelly do get a diff response wen u tell ppl u have a Z24 vs. u have a cavalier...lol....

and iv had ppl ask me what it is before at gas stations...and i tell em its a Z24..they r like what model? i say cavalier and theyr jaw kinda drops lol...

Yup. L67 = SC 3800, L36 = NA 3800

The Monte that the L67 came out of must have been modded because Monte's never came with the L67 until 2004.

Your Cavi sounds pretty good. It did better then my Monte did when it was bone stock. With a stock NA 3800 my Monte ran a 15.7@86mph.

Also, your Cavi is a LOT lighter than a Monte, lol. Here's the difference:

1989 Cavi Z24 coupe curb weight: 2590lbs
My 1998 Monte Z34 weight without me in it: 3300lbs

The 6th and 7th gen Montes tend to weigh a little more than that even. You have a serious weight advantage. I say, go with an L67 swap

lol wow thats a huge weight difference....lol...maybe ill get to talkin to the guy that did the swap....and ill pick up a second Z24 and do a L67 swap into it for a toy lol i was tryna get THIS one down to the 13s with a 3.1 or a 3400

mayb i can break 11s with a L67! lol that would b insane!....especialy in a JBODY!

cuz these cars are alot more resposive and nimple then a monte SS...

i know because for work i used to drive a 2004 Monte SS with a SC 3800 in it every so often..its faster then my Z24 but no where near as responsive in turns or as nimble i think.....

i mean on a all out drag a 3800 walks me...but not by a whole lot....a 3800 SC eats me alive lol....

my car is GEAR limited to 137 mph....and it will do every bit of it...iv never had it more then 100 cuz it gets a lil slopy at that speed...even tho the front end is TIGHT as all hell...

it needs a 1'' - 2'' drop and sum k braces and strut bars and brakes before i hit the speeds its capable of...just not that safe lol....

Here's the potential of a 3800 in a Cavi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoBmK...eature=related

I know it's a different gen, but you get the idea
