Default Tranny fluid leaking

Had my car on a lift while changing the oil.....noticed some tranny fluid leaking. Not much....but the check engine light popped on when I finished the oil change. Checked the code and it reads...P1811 maximum adapt and long shift. Does anyone know what this means and if it's a quick fix?

P1811 usually means bad news. Basically the transmission computer (TCM) has detected a major problem and has applied the program to increase line pressure to save it from further damage. It's not good for the transmission to leave P1811 unaddressed. It sometimes referred to as "Limp home mode". First check the transmission fluid to be sure it's at the proper level since you had a leak, but it might be time for a rebuild.
