Would you put a cover on your car on a open trailer?

 

I'm thinking not, it would probably get blown off/away if it's not properly secured (and securing it may be tough to do without posing issues to the car itself).

 

I would on a long distance trip

 

Not me, I bet all the buffeting and chaffing the cover would do, it would wear into your wax and perhaps clearcoat if you were to go a fair distance.

How would you secure the cover is the question. Is there a way one could do it and prevent a great amount of air from getting up and underneath the cover? Then perhaps you would not experience the chaffing effect.

 

I see people wrap the front of the car in something like a saran wrap. Protect the front and hood and that's it

 

That would work well, like a shrink wrap they use when wrapping stacked boxes on a pallet. Probably would be all one needs.

 

Have you seen the New cars with the white wrap on them during transport is that stuff available and is that safe?

I just got a cover craft cover the instructions say DO NOT USE WHILE TOWING!!!

Chaffing I guess?

 

That transwrap is what I want. I will order it this week.
