for a 00-05 i no it cuts out at around 110 but i jut got the hypertech wondering how fast will the car go now posible bury the neddle what speeds have you guys hit?

i got to 120 once.. i've known people to peg the speedo.. but i'm scared of the cops on the interstates, the only place big enough to do it here

 

Space posted about the 06/07 SS that have a ungoverned top speed of 154mph. I think the 00-05's are 145 ungoverned

 

i have had mine hit 125 at 4500 rpm and then the governer kicks in and the rpms drop down to 1000 and then back up to 4500 rpms if i keep my foot on it

 

Not to hijack, but whats the top speed of the 3.9s?

 

Seeing as how the ungoverned top speed in these cars depends mostly on drag, I would imagine the 3.9 top speed would be 154 like the SS's.

 

so even the LTs are ungoverned... thats cool, i was hoping to have a car faster than the one i have now (i hate down grading), my taraus runsin the140s with 235 horse so the 150s dont seem that improbable for 242 horse.

 

160+mph, and still accelerating... I let off to save my tranny, and to avoid crapping my pants... even though it was still running smooth.

154mph seems a little high for a stock max speed on the L67... with our drag coeff, and terrible 4th gear, we're really battling physics to gain mph at that speed.

 

Lav, 154 is the ungoverned top speed of the 06/07 years. Obviously there was no L67 for those years.

Miller, no they are not ungoverned from the factory, you would have to have the governer disabled to hit those speeds.
