Thanks for backing up you're opinions SSmoky,

And I don't claim to be a tire expert, but I definitely think it's possible that you could have gotten "a lemon" set. The customer reviews seem be in favor of the GT's overall though.

I like my Michellin pilot A/S tires. Tons of grip, handle great on gravel as well!! Havent got em on snow yet but they are supposed to be pretty good.

I am running Yokohama Avid TRZ---225/55-17

I can honestly say it is the best tire I have ever run for summer and winter applications. I used to have the stock Goodyear tires on my car which were terrible in the MN winter. I have run Goodyears, Kumhos--(Second choice) and General tires so have had some experience on what tires to run (Keep in mind these are all ALL-SEASON tires). I do have them filled will nitrogen at the moment and I am mixed on that or air but that is another subject. Here is a review from Tirerack.com which also has a good price on them but if you check other sites you will find good reviews also.

I have Continental ContiPro Contacts on now...So far a great tire, decent price, very smooth and quite.

The stock Goodyear Integrity tires were straight garbage! I hated them...

I have heard good things about the Goodyear GT's though...

I had Continental ContiExtremeContacts on my old car and they were really good tires on both wet and dry conditions. I'd buy them again. However, I've been eying up Dunlop SP Sport Signature tires for a while...

Pirelli PZero Nero All Season also look promising and they're a tad cheaper.

I'm assuming you meant you liked the Continetal ContiExtreme Contact?...I have the ContiPro Contact, which I think is a little bit more of an all season tire...as I said though, i'm very happy with them.

I was also really looking into the General Altimax HP on tirerack.com....they seem like a great tire for a pretty low price.
