So my monte's going in the paint booth this weekend and I want to tint my taillights. I know that you have to sand them and then paint with a kind of spray tint but I was curious as to what brand works best. does anyone have a thread on this or have done it them selves?


oh I'll say this now, Canada (specifically my province) have different laws on tinted taillights then you guys in the states do so i'm not worried about getting pulled over. Any info would be great!

Thanks barb! this helps out a lot. My friend (whos painting my car) is a professional painter so he may be able to tint my tail lights himself with the whole clear coat/ black paint mix.

 

You are welcome. I have been browsing the subject myself and have come to the conclusion that if I do my taillights, I will be using VHT Night Shades. Talked to a few friends of mine who did theirs and theirs turned out wonderful. I've seen them too and they do look great.
But if your friend is a professional painter, I am sure he will know what to use and will do a fine job for you.
