Default Thinking About Trading The Monte

Yep, I'm thinking about trading in my '00 LS for a 2006 SS. Here's a picture

It's loaded to the gills with features and above all... V8 power!

I've been thinking about all the mods I wanted to do with my '00 but when you take the maybe 3k I could get out of mine, added on top of my mods and required repairs you're not all that far off from the price of this one... and if that's the case, why not get a car that's 6 years newer with less miles for that little extra?

What do you guys think?

Yep, I'm going to do some number crunching in the next few days and get everything set. I will be a few weeks before I do anything yet. Unfortunately for me, the dealership where this car is at is about 1.25 hours away from me so I'm not going to be making to many trips out there. I'll have to do it all at home, go out for a test drive and if all is good, sign the papers then.

If you're going to be trading your 2000 in on it, I would not be expecting to get 3k for it? Dealership places suck on giving anything good for a trade-in! I'd say they will give you no more than $1,500 for your trade, I'm sorry to say...... In your mind it might be worth 3k but they won't be thinking that way!

Default budget...?

Hey Mike, if you can afford it and the Insurance ( SS's are higher Ins. ) then go for it but also remember that gas is going up.
Beautiful Car though...

nice lookin ss but that V8 will suck some gas. I'd jump in head first and worry about the consequences later but that's just me.

Not a big contest of which Monte you will like better, but you may want to try selling the '00 privately first

Hi `Mike, I think you should get it `if you can afford `it It's no fun having a nice car, that you can't afford to drive & enjoy, but if you can afford...I think owning a SS V8 is the way to go : )
You only get one `Life ~> So EnJoy your `Journey & I think your `Journey would be so much better in a SuperSuper V8 S.S. Monte Carlo 4-Sure...
Good Luck & let us know what you decide...

p.s. I agree 100% with `Brent...I would attempt to sell your present Monte privately...
& then work the best deal you can with no trade on the SS V8

Always a great step up

If you can afford it, I would go for it. I was afraid you were leaving the Monte scene lol
