RE: tail light covers, where to get them???
ok this is a tricky deal
due to our tail lights being the shape they are there has been alot of debate on this one. at one point on a nother fourm they even sent in a set of tail lights to get pattrens made for them to get them to fit right. and they still have issues with them not fitting right. I looked in to them seriously till i found out that they liked to fly off and most pepole woh have them would take them off on long trips so they didnt lose them
but there is hope if you want it.
take your tail lights off
set them in side a carborad box paint booth
now take a small fan you really dont want no more
buy a can of nigth shade and shoot it threw the fan this atomises it real good and gives a even coat.
you might try this on a peice of plexi first so you see how it flows etc...
then get them as dark as you want useing several thin coats .
next get your favoriot can of clear paint. and shoot it on them the same way till coverd. It will protect the night shade and also will give them gloss.
this is about the only thing i have heard that works really well and stays on . and stays oin while on longe trips also
i know several folks the went to a bone yard and bought a extra set of tail lights and did this to them then replaced the ones on thier cars and kept the org. in a box someplace incase they wanted to change them back.
one word of coution , make sure when you do this you do it in a ventalated place and make sure you dont get the stuff in the fan motor on the brushes or you might end up with a flam thrower to LOL
