a lot of people at supercharged stock.

to get the most power you will most likely want to go with a turbo, look into the ZZP Z3 Turbo kit for the budget turbo.

well im looking into putting a supercharger into my 2001 monte ss, i dont know your budget but iv found the best option is to find a junky engine with the supercharger on it, this will be cheepier in the long run because you wont have to buy the bigger injectors, the low compression pistons, beefier crankshaft...the list goes on. if you get a junky engine i sugest to rebuild it

I have ZZP Z7 Turbo kit, best thing is to research every option and decide what's in your budget....regardless of which option you go with, it will not be cheap...do not take short cuts or you will have to pay more in the long run.

I went with both:

That's not going to be your cheapest option though. If you go turbo, then the sky is the limit power wise. If you go supercharged (M90), then once you get north of 325-350whp a turbo ends up being a better deal.

Also don't forget that whatever way you go, you will need a built tranny, no question. I recommend talking to Triple Edge Performance - Home Page about a tranny.

I understand that you are new, and you are 18, and you just want to have a fast car.

But you need to do a lot of research on your car, your mechanical abilities, etc.

A turbo is going to be more expensive up front. But it is easier to do the work in your own garage with basic tools. And the power will be big.

The supercharger (search top-swap on any w-body forum) will be the overall cheaper option up front. But you have to tear the whole top half off your engine which makes it more mechanically inclined. Look up Head Gasket changes, and that's basically the tear down, then you put a different engine top on instead. In order to make this build compete with the turbo build, you will have to spend a good amount of money.
