Hi `Bob,
I think 2004 & 2005 are the only years that
Monte Carlo had the SuperCharger
If, I'm wrong....

Chevrolet Monte Carlo Supercharged SS
by Christopher Diken (RSS feed) on Jun 24th 2004 at 11:37AM
A bunch of famous NASCAR guys drive Chevrolet Monte Carlos, including Dale Earnhardt, Jr. You can drive one too, sort of. Until this year, the Monte Carlo was hampered by a distinct dearth of sportiness, especially in the horsepower department. Chevy listened to the complaints, and tries hard to make amends: they've bolted on a supercharger that helps the V6 create 240-hp and 280 lb./ft., the ride height has been lowered and spring rates stiffened and the whole suspension has been bolstered by more robust anti-roll bars. And don't neglect the myriad cosmetic touches that refuse to let you forget the supercharged nature of the car. The vehicle is quick and stable and presents an excellent bang-to-buck ratio with a pricetag of $28K

2004 and 2005 were the only years the L67 was available. Someone must have done a swap of some kind (whether it be a top swap or an engine swap). 2004 it was the "Supercharged SS" and in 2005 it was just the SS.

Yep it was an option in 04 - and I kinda find it weird that the non supercharged Monte SS's only got the red SS emblem on the sides and not the "Monte Carlo" script emblem.
