Default Super charger

I have a 2002 Dale Earnhart SS and I want to add a supercharger to it. Has anyone ever done this? The price I got was $7000.00. Is that about right?

Wow for 7000 dollars you could get a used low mileage L67 and 4t65e-HD and put it in.

yeah chris sounds that way to me to.
but for the 7k
I think i would go with a turbo set up instead and really make life easier for you AND it si diffrent enough that others would never expect it.
That and it would be fun to have ablow off on a monte carlo LOL

I've been told that adding the supercharger to the naturally aspirated 3.8 isn't such a good idea. Not without doing expensive mods to the internals and tranny.

If you're determined to have the supercharger, an engine and tranny swap would probably be better than bolting on a s/c to your existing engine.

Personally, I would go with Mickey's idea.
