Lightbulb Suggestions?

Next mon, 8-15, i get 5k from financial aide. I need your guys advice on what should i buy for my SS. i'm thinking about using 1k on the car itself. So what should i buy, some of guys said a Wizaired and get that Ubend outta the way. OH and a tune. which do you guys recommend? i was going with overkill tune but i have been hearing diffent things from different people. I also wanted a Aftermarket radio, should i get a double din or a single din? anything else i should buy? Im open to all suggestions and will consider them if recommended more than once. I am mostly a performance type of guy, not really into a show car, or big ballin' whatever that is called.

Not to sound like a jerk, but is this financial aid for school or to help with some other
big life event?

If so, I don't think modding the Monte is a wise idea for this money. School is EXPENSIVE!

Spend it on what its ment for first, education is important. At the end if you happen to have left over money maybe then spend some on the monte.

Spend it on what it's intended for, for now. Use the rest to mod the Monte. It'll feel a lot better after school (..or what ever its meant for) when your Monte is ridin' better and faster.
But when that happens Go for the performance parts first (c.i.a., tune, exhaust, gauges, ect...) then get the after market radio, and work on improving the appearance.

school is expensive yes, but I find if you can't enjoy the little things in life then its like wasting your life, to me anyways. Just do what you feel you will enjoy the most. and good luck with the mods I was also thinking of getting the Wizrad intake so if you do let me know hoe ya like it.

And personally if I had a grand I'd put black rims same size as the ones I got on my SS to match the car and put my stock ones on my LS so theyd both improve in apperance lol

I'm with everybody else- definitely don't spend that money. You can't default on student loans, they will be with you forever, and you will have to pay all that back plus interest. Its not as bad as a credit card, but its really an awful waste of money (especially since mods add practically 0 value to the car, and resale on them is usually less than 50%).

Its one thing if you're already working, and have some spare cash outside of your budget at the end of the month to throw at a hobby- but doing it on credit is never a good idea IMO.

I know you think you're going to be making big money and all that when you get out of college, or at a summer job/internship- and that you'll easily pay it back then, but reality is that almost never happens.

IMO, assuming its a student loan- put it in the bank (assuming interest is postponed until graduation)- and pay it back immediately when you graduate.
