How many of the 06-07 owners know that they can turn off the Day Time Running Lights by the headlight switch?

Me, me, me.

When we went to the tour of Trim Parts while at the Monte Nats, we were headed back to the hotel. It had stopped raining (another rant). The windows were down a couple inches and I had the sun roof open about the same. It felt like the A/C was on. You could feel all this cool air moving around down by your feet. I thought it was pretty nice.

On the cargo net, I only keep a couple spare towels in there in case the car needs wiped down. I don't think they weigh enough to cause any problems?

 

I usually use the light controls to keep on parking lights while driving, instead of driving lights, then I turn on the fog lights. It'll look much cooler when I get these autopias installed. Much bigger lens, blue blubs, and LED ring to boot... only 60 some bux.... I'm very pleased... now, anyone know the best spot to route a bunch of extra wiring in a 06 Monte?

Stupid Monte trick?
Speaking of window washers.... if you have a person following close behind you the spray from your window washers will force them to use their wipers. It's nothing more than a mere annoyance, but seriously, if ppl are tailgating you, do this a couple times, and eventually they'll pass or back off to avoid it. lol! I've done this many times with many laughs... (i'm easily entertained)

For the new 06-07s... If you're riding with a passenger make/take a phone call, then ask them to turn down the stereo.... then while they're not looking, use the steering wheel controls to turn it back up. Then ask again, indignantly. "will you PLEASE turn it down already?".... rinse...repeat as needed [sm=laughat.gif]

I can't help but do that to every passenger that gets in my car.... eventually they'll learn, but it's a good laugh until then.

Send your wife out to the car to grab something, then the moment she reaches for the door handle, lock the doors. It doors will lock, wife reaches in through the window, unlocks the door and opens it.

and i guess my monte sucks at tricks, cuz i dont have the condom pocket in front of my seat, my rear seats dont fold down, and i dont have a cargo net in my trunk

The back seat doesn't fold down in your Monte? I thought all '00-07 Montes had this?

 

It is not exactly a Monte trick, but since mine has the remote start fob and keyless entry, you can increase the range by putting it up to your chin when you push the buttons. It does not work well with the remote start so much because you have to hold it for 2 seconds, but it helps with unlocking the door.

Does anyone have any way of extending the range besides that and a new battery? lol
