Now someone needs to invent a way to see that the small red A/C light is on without taking your eyes off of the road.

I almost have to useboth hands to cup around the *** while using my knee to drive.

Maybe an amplifier circuit or an auxillary bulb that runs up to the dash.

Times two!!!

I thought the little pocket at the front of the driver seat was to store your........... balloons.

Just Use the recurculate button, then you can turn the a/c switch off, it will still run, but no light. and its really cold.

06LT3 is exactly correct because that's the recirculate button so it closes off air coming from outside the vehicle and just keeps chilling the interior air. It does get incredibly cold.

I wonder if the cloth interiors have those stash pockets?

Per the '06 Monte owner's manual,

Do not run the A/C in the recirculating mode for very long.

A fellow NMCOA member and I were discussing this last week.

Oh, and try tinting your car. I noticed the problem during the day only.... at nite it's fine, so if you tint the car, there will be much less light rolling around, meaning much easier to see it! That or polish the plastic that the light shines thru.

Well they say, you can run it like that normally, but the air will become dry in the car. I think that is what I read. right?

And yes the cloth interiors do have the pocket. I have cloth....Never hot never cold and doesnt squeak... lol
