everything I mentioned, IS all optional man.. I know, because I special ordered my car direct from the factory... those items were all options... they did not come standard...
and no, I didn't get ripped off... I ordered exactly what I wanted... plus, got employee pricing because a family member is a retired GM employee... and I have access to all of the pricing sheets direct from GM - for any/all GM vehicles, that show MSRP, dealer cost, employee costs, for the vehicles themselves as well as any and all options that are available for them... If you'd like, I can show you the price sheet for the Monte's and what the costs are for all of those options...
trust me man, I do know what I'm talking about... those things were all options...
i totally agree with lew. my monte has all the options except the heated mirrors, side airbags, and the 6 disc. which i assume is packaged together. i too have seen them without the sunroof. OP i also believe that the MC SS got the fe4 suspension while the other montes got the fe3 and lower, and obviously the motor, tranny, wheels, ground effects, grilles, steering wheel emblem, and all the other odds and ends.
Here's a website thats great. All you gotta do is put in your VIN # and it will give you everything on your vehicle, from stereo to drive line options....

thanx for the help guys, so did we ever come to a conclusion on the brakes? if there bigger or something? and also after driving the monte a couple times i noticed that the tranny is sluggish compared to my last lt3, which both had around 37,xxx miles on them.....i know the person who got the car before me might have drove it a little hard but it feels like it shifts wierd and somtimes when i hit the gas it will go but then it will feel like it kicks into gear again????? thats rare though its mostly just like the downshifting and when it shifts when in cruising usually around 1500-2000 rpm?
tranny fluid is clean..........also noticed that when i sit in car and hold brake when i engage it in park and reverse i can really hear it go into gear, cant hear anything when i put it into 1 , 2 , or 3

The 1-2 shift in that transmission is notoriously sluggish. They sell shift kits that take care of it for the most part.
