Question Spring 2011 Mod Plans

Spring 2011 Mod Plans

Hello MCF,

I didn't see a thread like this around so I thought it would be fun to make a thread to find out what everyone at the MCF has planned for their Monte's come Spring time.

I got my 2000 in October so I really haven't been able to do anything to it yet, so I'll be starting from the top this Spring.

*First off I'm redoing my exhaust setup. Starting with a U-bend delete, then installing a Y-Pipe into some Magnaflow mufflers finished off with tips.

*Next up, I'm swapping my current spoiler out with the vertical Pace Car style and swapping out my wheels for the 06-7 LT ones.

*Then I'm going to empty out half of my bank account to buy the complete High Sport ground effects package from GM.

*Also, getting the entire car repainted

*Installing fog lights

*Possibly switching over to HIDs (if not this year, next year)

*Finally, planning to do an interior swap from my cloth seats to heated leather, swap my taillights out with 7th gens since my driver side one got busted from some jack a$$ in the parking lot and 55% tint all around.

Ok, I think that's everything. So what are YOU planning for this Spring?

For the most part, I am happy with where the Monte is now and plan on keeping it the way it is for this year besides regular maintenance.

For the GTO, I am in the process of purchasing a 3 piece wing, side skirts, a new rear bumper, quad tips and Holden emblems to make it look like the Australian version, end result will be similar to this:

What the car currently looks like as refrence, except the rear valance came off and I did not replace it due to the overall swap:

It is. I guess the previous owner was confused on what kind of car he had when he put the spoiler on. Or maybe he thought it looked good. I hate it, which is why I can't wait to get rid of it, especially now with winter snow, it all gets stuck under there.

Good plans Mogwog and Montess2k. Take it from me, I've had my Monte since July 2005 and I started modifying it in March 2006 and I haven't looked back since. It's a lotta fun

My plans are fairly small. This year, I'll be installing a high flow fuel pump, dropping pulley sizes from my current 3.4" to 3.2", and if everything goes well I'll have an intercooler too. I'll also be going back to ZZP for another dyno tune for the pump and pulley. Hoping for some REAL numbers

SLP grille and replace the mufflers with something slightly louder, just off the top of my head. There may be other mods, or none at all. All depends how far financially behind I get while I'm off work with this hand injury.

My list is not modest at all and the car fund account doesn't appreciate it one bit. But that's its purpose.
Projector head lights
LED tail lights
TS grille
AGX and B&G lowering spring
SLP sways and UMI trailing arms, and moog endlinks
SLP exhaust
Once this is all complete and by the summer I might get GXP seats if I can find at a reasonable price and Mustand 18x8 Bullets or Mach 1 wheels.

I need to get a new set of rubber for my 18s

I'm gonna start to do a lot of under the hood clean-up, and maybe I'll start working on the interior of the car.

Until I get a second car, I am done with all my serious modding right now
