Default Speeding ticket

Have you guys ever gotten a speeding ticket? How fast were you going? How much was the ticket? Reason im asking is because I just got my FIRST ticket and I was ready to have a one<on>one boxing match with the officer. I had my cruise control set at 65 mph and I saw the sign that said it was changing to 50 but I paid no attention until I come down a hill and there he is. I treated him with respect and I told him I know I was doing 65 in a 50. He told me that I was doing 66 in a 50. I know it doesnt seem like a big difference but they categorize the mph that you are over by 5 and by him saying I was 16 (not 15) I would have to pay more... I told him that he needs his radar gun recalibrated and he told.me, NO!!! You need your car recalibrated because those rims throw off your actual speed. I looked at him and said do you want to drive it and ill shoot the radar at you and see,? and if your speeding im gonna give you a ticket too. He said, sir I cant argue once the ticket is printed... I snatched the ticket and my info and sped away. Should I fight this ticket? He seemed confident that I was going 16 over, but I know my odometer is right...

I was pulled over for 57 in a 20 a few years ago complete bs, the officer who pulled me over didnt get along with me very well, but it cost me 460$, but always fight a ticket, cuz most of the time u can get it to a lesser infraction on ur license so u dont get points but ull still have to pay the fine for the speeding ticket

Wow! $460, they might as well put out a warrant for my arrest lol I forgot to add that it was for $127. On the back there is a section for first timers and I called the number and they said I can take a 4 hour class for $30 to keep it off of my driving record and insurance.

My worst offense was a 115 in a 65, the officer cut me down to an 85 in a 65 so I could keep my license. He also said I was allowed to fight it, but he already cut me such a break, I just paid it.

You can fight it, say how he was sitting at the bottom of a hill, etc. etc. You can also prove that your rims don't throw your speedo off if you can prove that the overall diameter is equal to the stock one.

not really a hill but an overpass and he was at the bottom parked on side of the road. I wish I had the stocks but I bought the car with the rims on it. How much was your ticket for Chibi?

3 yrs ago in my Burban I was doing like 75 or so in a 65 and when he pulled me over he told me I was doing 91 then he tried to use the rim size too at the time I had 20's on 275/55R20 long story short it cost me about $729. I would try and fight it all they can do is say yes or no might get lucky and he might not be able to show !
