well i was up in northern mi. this weekend. no cops on the hiway as always.so i ran my 06 ss out . ran it up to 140 on the speedo and no cut out. my 04 siliverado cuts out at 90 mph. do the montes have no cut out . boy it still pulls at high speeds.

 

not sure with the newer ones but i know mine did i have the 03 and it would cut out at about 108mph

 

i've had mine up to about 120 or so...with no cutout...didn't go any faster than that yet though

 

2006 3LT with the 3900 LZ9 engine. I hit 113 MPH and it cut out, the DIC (driver info center) said like maximum speed 113 mph. and the car just wouldn't go any faster. It was weird, not like fuel cutoff, because the engine just wouldn't pull past it. but boy at 110 mph it was still pulling too!

FYI no mods at all other than sub system, sirius sattelite, and a drop in K&N replacement air filter.

 

some of the time they get out the factory with out a cut out in them but also you have to knwo what your looking for on some cars. some are real light so you dont feel them as much others it is liek they throw a parachute out the window.

mine was great till it hit and then it would still go past it but at the same time it didnt clim as fast but still pulled hard till then

 

Yeah, it was weird, the car didn't slow down, it just wouldn't accellerate... and I had plenty of road left. I so wanted to see the 140 MPH that the speedo reaches.... ahhh well, I guess Ill have to wait for a programmer

 

it will ge tthere. but i can say i know the 6th gen cars tend to get real light so be real carefule and make sure you have no distractions so you cna pay real good attention to your car
