Default The Spark Plug Saga Continues. Bad News!

What a Major pain in the *** it was and still IS regarding this replacing of the Spark Plugs. I got me a Ratchet Strap and brought the Engine forward. No problem. There was more room ... but, not ample ... by any means. OK there they are. The Boots were next to impossible to get off. I had to tie a 1/8" Nylon line to a pair of Plastic Tie-wraps and attach the line snuggly to under the Hex on the Boot. Then, I wound the line tight around a Big screwdriver and Pulled them off using the Exhaust Header as a prying fulcrum and "Pulling-off" the three Inside Boots. I didn't like the way they came off. There was something "Too Stuck" about the amount of force needed to get them loose. Might have been a bad idea ... I don't know.

The three Plugs got extracted and I put Permatex AntiSeize on the threads because I had to really muscle those Spark Plugs loose. Two of them took the power of the Breaker Bar to get them to budge loose and they squeaked like they were the ones GM put in on Day One. Out they came. Lubed the threads and smeared the necks with some NeverSeize to make it easier next time.

Changed the three Plugs and piled everything I used on the bench for putting-away tomorrow. Loosened the Coil Pack to move it out of the way but it wasn't moving. Tool the individual wires off the Coil Pack after clearly labeling 1 -thru- 6 according to their position left to right on the Coil Pack. Finished installing three Plugs gapped at 60-thou and put the Wires all back inn the proper place after diong each one individually as to not mess-up the Firing Order.

Wrapped it all up at 11PM setting the engine back against my new drop light and getting it stuck between the engine and firewall ... re-tilted the Engine forward ato save the light. All motor mounts and all connections made correctly.

Closed the Hood.
Started the car.
Check Engine Light ON.
Rough Idle.

Talk about your Monte Carlo NIGHTMARES!

Ckecked on line for replacement wires ... 60-Bucks
Kerosene to keep me warm while working will be another 15-Bucks.

Based on the information presented will the Check Engine Light go OFF when the new wires are installed or is that something that needs to be reset at the Dealership?
