let me give you an estimate of what gm wants for these things. The decal that goes over the fuel door and only over the fuel door is 209.47. The "taz" decal behind the emblem on the rear quarterpanel is 209. Each corner of the car is a separate decal that runs around 550 each, with both the front and rear left sides needing to be replaced. There's probably not even $2 in vinyl here but GM has this marked up like crazy

 

There has to be some copyright money involved somewhere too. For example, I got a price from a local Chevy dealership on two different trunk lid decals. One decal was the "Team Monte Carlo" decal that comes on the pace cars and the Jeff Gordon cars. The other decal was the Taz decal on the trunk lid. The "Team Monte Carlo" decal was cheaper than the Taz decal. And the Taz decal is a lot smaller. I gotta think that some of that extra money has to be going towards paying Warner Brothers for the rights to use Taz.

I can't think of any copyright issue with the checker flag though. Maybe it has to do with the size of thesheet of vinyl they have to use to cut out the flag design? There has got to be a lot of wasted vinyl from each sheet. Maybe the cost of the die to cut it out too? I don't know. Just guessing now.

I do know that the $500 per side for my DEI stripes has a portion going to Theresa Earnhardt and Nascar.

Maybe get JJ to make up the pieces you need.
