Yea i hate mine they look stupid and always pull away no matter what im trying to get a new drivers black leather heated seat without one on it

The 2000 Monte Carlo's did not have side air bags..

The 2001 Monte Carlo had standard side air bags

The 2002 to 2007 Monte Carlo's had side air bags as a option

My 2005 Monte Carlo LT did not have them & my 2006 Monte Carlo did not have them as standard equipment & were a option..

My 01 ss has them, I don't mind them much.

 

My 2000 cloth seats didn't have them, but the '02 leather ones I got from Gregg have them.

I'm not sure if the airbag is powered by the 5 pin harness that powers everything from the motion to the seatbelt indicator, so whether they're actually plugged in or not, I'm not sure.

 

My 05 has them and they're not pulling away. I dont mind them but I don't like em either if that makes sense.

 

I have a driver side air bag on my leather seat., 2005 Monte Carlo SS supercharged..

 

04 SS/SC With leather and a side airbag. Mine is not pulling away either. My seat is worn out a bit in another spot tho.

 

I currently own 2 Monte SS 2001s because I love the style of the car. People actuly will come up to me and ask "what kind of car" that is, and "what year" because it looks so good.. These are the longest I've ever owned a car. I used to buy a new car every other year, no matter what. I've owned a ton of cars, but ABSOLUTLY love the 2000-2005 Monte SS style. There are of corse some issues In the car I don't like (factory) , the lighting, the dash colors, the DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG, ( on my Red SS, it has cloth interior and HAS the air bag, so does my BLACK SS, it's got leather interior and the airbag Benzel needs replaced) I could strangle the guy that designed the stupid thing. I actully went out and bought a brand new seat (I thought they all had the airbags on the side) so , it had the airbag on the side, after about 6 months it did the EXACT SAME THING ! Man I'm ticked off.... Can't cover under warranty because I bought it "old new stock" so now I have 2 leather drivers side seats with air bag Benzel issues ! Pissed off ! Lol... Mjc.. BTW, I hate it on any of the cars, looks horrible. Currently I'm looking for the seats from an 06- newer leather fronts only, without the airbags. Lol......

 

My 2002 has them my 2001 does not.
