this only happens to me when using the parking break to powerslide slick corners in the wintertime (only under reasonable and relatively safe conditions)...

oh, yes! i should of said that before... i turn the TRAC OFF when powersliding and "e-braking" but the service traction system notification will still come on after a while, even with it turned off. i don't do it as much in my '04 as i did in my '02 (mostly b/c the streets here aren't as clear {of other cars} as they used to be)

sorry for the mild heart attack i'm sure i gave you!

that light comes on for me whenever i use the e-brake in my car, whether it be sliding around in snow, using it to do a burn out, or just using it to hold the car on a hill when parked....the first two things are done with traction control off

i never really thought anything about it. as soon as i turn the car off then back on, it clears and everything works fine again

god i really hope its not a wheel bearing or a hub...i cant afford that right now, i already had to put a new power steering pump in it and fix the climate control damn car is getting expensive

Well if it only happens when using the parking brake then you know it has to pretty much be one of the rear wheels.

Floor pedal. It sucks and is a real PITA. I've done it twice on a very icy parking lot. That was enough for me to hate it.
