Default Service Tire Monitor System

I am getting this message when I start my 2006 Monte Carlo LT with 3.9.

"Service Tire Monitor System."

I was messing with and trying to "calibrate" the tires yesterday because the guagewas off from two handheld tire pressure sticks. So I put a little air in the tires. Than today it started giving me that message everytime I start it. ??

You gotta have patients not many people online at MCF these days.
Other than that you can either bump yourself......errr...I mean try to fix it yourself or go to the dealer.

Ok, I am needing more help on this.

I did what you said and calibrated the tires again, so then message went away, but today it came back on. "Service Tire Monitor System" Should I just do it again, or should I actually have it checked out?

did you actually check your tire pressures? you might have a tire with a slow leak.

plus, after you fill the tire up, you ahve to reset the monitor. it doens't just go off on it's own.

on my 00-05 monte, you have to turn the radio off with the key on, hold the tune button for up to 5 seconds, then scroll thru the options there to Tire Reset or something to that matter and reset it.

I checked all the pressures and they all look good. I just went back and its not showing the message now. Lol, this is getting annoying.

Have it checked out it could be a bad sensor. I had my rear tire sensor replaced because it would work intermitently.
