Default rev limiter

hi my 1996 mc z34 has 2 rev limiters. one at about 3700 i think and the other at about 6900 to 7000. i was wondering if there are any plug in tuners to maybe get some more hp and get rid of the low rpm rev limiter?

DHP Powertuner and HPtuners are both decent tuners, you could look for a used one at somewhere like clubgp or check around here also, they're usually sold anywhere from 200-250 i think

I would leave both rev limiters alone. The low RPM rev limiter is there to keep you from free reving the engine. There are alot of moving parts in a DOHC motor and free reving the engine is a good way to damage these parts. The high RPM rev limiter really isnt robbing you of any power. The LQ1 makes power all the way to 7k and then takes a serious nose dive. By raising or eliminating the limiter you arent gaining any usable RPMs and are only harming the engine by reving it that high.

Alot of people use DHP to tune their LQ1. I have been told the HP tuners is only compatable with the 97 LQ1 unfortunately.
